Half a million better off for doing what any of us could have done. Still, Gregs will be delighted.

Re: The Unsinkable Mr Allardyce
He actually was probably a wise signing for us at the time he joined us. He got us up, kept us up. It wasn't pretty but it was effective at the time. That was probably the last time he as any good to anyone and we did good to get shot, even if its been a rocky road for us since.

Re: The Unsinkable Mr Allardyce
Biggest fraud in the game and more fool the likes of Leeds and WBA for employing him. Came into Leeds harping on about how important clean sheets are and then concedes 10 goals in 4 games.

Re: The Unsinkable Mr Allardyce
To play devils advocate for the Fat Man he had a dismal squad and was given games against Man City, Newcastle, West Ham & Tottenham to do something.
The bonus was never in danger but if someone came along and offered you £500,000 for a months work I am sure everyone would take it.
Bit insane to go from a squad built for Bielsa to employing Allardyce but have been a shambles all season.

Re: The Unsinkable Mr Allardyce
I have no gripe with Allardyce, he got us promoted at the first attempt after a dismal relegation with Grant. An enjoyable final day out at Wembley - not to many of them in recent years.

Re: The Unsinkable Mr Allardyce
Went in to sort them out... make them harder to beat blah blah... and of course the post match interview it was the club and the players fault... in his fat blubber brained head he still think he is in the top 3 coaches in world football... an absolute fraud

Re: The Unsinkable Mr Allardyce
Started with his bullshit about being Fat Pep or Porky Klopp but admitted that was to take pressure off the players
Started with a 2-1 defeat at City with them taking the ball into the corner at the end .... though if Haaland had his boots on the right feet it would have been 6-0.
Decent result with a draw v Newcastle but as said as soon as it went pear shaped the players & club were hurled straight under the bus

After his last effort at West Brom when he did have time I was a bit bemused that he was regarded as some sort of saviour.
His time has gone ... time to retire to spend more time with his fish heads
